1,000 Greatest Misses
Hello there, ladies and gents! 1000 Greatest Misses is the music podcast that shines a light on 1000 undiscovered, obscure, and underappreciated songs that hit all the marks but failed to chart. On each episode music-obsessed Paul Heinz and Christopher Grey will feature five power pop, AOR, heavy metal and new wave songs from the seventies and eighties, most of it curated from radio compilation vinyl records that aren’t available on any streaming service. Let’s play some tunes!

Brian Wattleworth sez I'm in the all of the above category. Not sure you have featured much punk thus far actually. Paul's comments on seeing stuff live is spot on, I've tried 60s soul jazz stuff or fusion to broaden my tastes but it's way cooler to see someone play that in a club with no or limited tech. My collection is mostly all rock related, this episode I had the A's (like 1st one better) and first two Heavy Pettins. Speaking of which, I saw that same Crue tour in 84 with Saxon, but alas, no Pettin. I love me some This Town Rocks, why that song isn't blasted at football games I got no idea. The interview next week should be cool. Look forward to it. Will try to fit the Manowar album in my radar soon. Too much stuff to hear.
seen Artful Dodger at open air concert opening for Kiss. Fell in love with them, and immediately went out and bought 1st album and Honour Among Thieves, which was the album they were supporting. My favourite album of theirs, though, is Rave On. power Pop masterpiece
Amazing show! A huge thanks to Pete Kuehl for introducing me to this show a while back. I've listened to 20-25 shows and I'm slowly working to catch up. Love learning about power pop/rock groups that I largely missed. As a musician that's made a living-ish "missing", I really appreciate learning about other bands that produced great songs that should be better known! I've been sharing with other folks that I know will appreciate your show! Keep up the great work! Chris Russell Drummer - The Argument (WV)
1. Please keep the songs streaming. I love being able to listen to them all 2. Enough is enough by April wine is one of my all time favorite songs! Thanks for spotlighting it!
Didn't the melody of Witness song sound almost exactly like Marshall Crenshaw's Maryanne? Doug Daluga - Grayslake, IL
Great episode. I was never able to see Material Issue, but I have been to several IPO's.
Love the podcast every week. Loved hearing the Red Button this week. Found them by listening to Wondermints radio on Pandora. I’d assume you’ve heard of Wondermints. Also you mentioned Mike Viola and he has a new record out and the song The Bansch was suggested to me and I will suggest it to you.
Fun episode this week! How much are you guys selling CDs for? I'd very much like a copy of Disrespectfully Yours, the Swizzlesticks CD, and the CD that the first song of Paul's came from!
Hey, guys - I listen for the power pop, but man, I loved that Heavy Pettin' song back in the day! That BBR song could've just as well have been an Enuff Znuff song, too.
